Already next year the Common Terns will have the chance to breed on two new, 1.000m2 big islands on Lake Ptuj. At this moment both islands are in making, investor is Dravske elektrarne Maribor and the islands will be made following our recomendations. We hope this will resolve the spatial problem of continental population of Common Tern and we also hope it will provide the breeding ground for Little Tern, extinct breeder on river Drava. The creation of those two islands is important contribution to the LIVEDRAVA project.
