Next big milestone for the establishment of nature reserve is the begining of renaturation works in the basins. The work begun in June 2014 and is carried out by Cestno podjetje Ptuj, d.d., which was chosen through public procurement. Works include the new water outflow from Lake Ormož, new pipline for the basins and remake of an old basins water outflow, together with the creation of new breeding island for Common Tern and all other renaturation ground works necessary for the creation of proper habitats for the birds. Works will be done in two months.
