Interesting bird sightings from our regular waterbirds monitoring on the Drava river – 3th 10-day period:
Lake Ormož:
- Bean Goose (Anser fabalis) – 2 ind.
- Pochard (Aythya ferina) – 340 ind.
- Scaup (Aythya marila) – 5 ind.
- Long-talied Duck (Clangula hyemalis) – 1 ind.
- Smew (Mergellus albellus) – 39 ind.
Lake Ptuj:
- Red-breasted Merganser (Mergus serrator) – 1 ind.
- Little Gull (Hydrocoloeus minutus) – 1 ind.
- Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus) – 7 ind.
- Herring Gull (Larus argentatus) – 3 ind.
