Interesting bird sightings from our regular water birds monitoring on the Drava river – 26th decade:
Lake Ormož:
- Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) – 41 ind.
- Gadwall (Anas strepera) – 18 ind.
- Northern Pintail (Anas acuta) – 7 ind.
- Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina) – 4 ind.
- Coot (Fulica atra) – 2143 ind.
- Spotted Redshank (Tringa erythropus) – 1 ind.
- Little Gull (Hydrocoloeus minutus) – 1 ind.
Lake Ptuj:
- Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) – 1 ind.
- Dunlin (Calidris alpina) -15 ind.
- Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus) – 15 ind.
- Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) – 1 ind.
- Black Tern (Chlidonias niger) -12 ind.
