Interesting bird sightings from our regular water birds monitoring on the Drava river – 6th decade:
Lake Ormož
- White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) – 1 ind.
- Greylag Goose (Anser anser) – 1 ind.
- Shoveler (Anas clypeata) – 2 ind.
- Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina) – 3 ind.
- Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) – 8 ind.
- Black-headed Gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) – 3650 ind. (roosting)
Lake Ptuj:
- Red-throated Loon (Gavia stellata) – 3 ind.
- Greylag Gooses (Anser anser) – 1 ind.
- Long-tailed Duck (Clangula hyemalis) – 1 ind.
- Ferruginous Duck (Aythya nyroca) – 1 ind.
- Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) – 730 ind. (roosting)
- Northern Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) – 95 ind.
