Interesting bird sightings from our regular water birds monitoring on the Drava river – 18th decade:
Lake Ormož:
- Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) – 2 ind.
- Spotted Redshank (Tringa erythropus) – 1 ind.
- Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) – 8 ind.
- Arctic Skua (Stercorarius parasiticus) – 1 ind.
- Mediterranean Gull (Larus melanocephalus) – 3 ind.
- Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus) – 1 ind.
Lake Ptuj:
- Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis) – 1 ind.
- Pygmy Cormorant (Phalacrocorax pygmeus) – 3 ind.
- Garganey (Anas querquedula) – 1 ind.
- Ruff (Philomachus pugnax) – 2 ind.
- Redshank (Tringa totanus) – 6 ind.
