Interesting bird sightings from our regular water birds monitoring on the Drava river – 10th decade:
Lake Ormož
- Dunlin (Calidris alpina) – 1 ind.
- Curlew (Numeus arquata) – 1 ind.
- Spotted Redshank (Tringa erythropus) – 1 ind.
- Little Gull (Hydrocoloeus minutus) – 1 ind.
- Black Tern (Chlidonias niger) – 1 ind.
Lake Ptuj:
- Red-throated Loon (Gava stellata) – 3 ind.
- Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis) – 6 ind.
- Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) – 2 ind.
- Goosander (Mergus merganser) – 1 ind.
- Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) – 1 ind.
- Mediteranean Gull (Larus melanocephalus) – 1 ind.
- Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) – 23 ind.
