In february 2014 a detailed grazing plan for Ormož Basins Nature Reserve was finished. The document details all the requirements, procedures and functions of habitat managment by grazing of Water Buffaloes. It takes into account legal, veterinary, animal welfare and nature conservation aspects. This document forms theoretical basis for the preparation of livestock fances and other infrastracture for the implementation of grazing as well as for the purchase, transportation and animal care. In March, based on this grazing plan we already begun with the constraction of livestock fances and in May, we plan to purchase and release of livestock in the Ormož Basins Nature Reserve. Water Buffalos will be brought from Nature park Neusidlersee.
