On 7th January 2014 we carried out a detailed field examination of a river branch on the left bank of river Drava, near the inflow of river Dravinja into river Drava. This river brench is one of three river branches that will be opened and restored under action C.9. It is also the longest and most structured of all. The aim of this field examination was to define locations of ground works and to discuss best possible solutions. Participants of field examination were experts from VGP – Mirko Veronek, VGB – Smiljan Juvan and Mitja Trop and DOPPS – Luka Božič, Dominik Bombek, Matjaž Premzl and Damijan Denac. We also found signs of the presence of Beaver (Castor fiber) in the outflow area of the river branch and because of high water level the day before, we found washed up fish – Common Roach (Rutilus rutilus).
